Our volunteers are unique and since we need them to become a part of a big world, we are going to provide them with different cultural learning activities.
Most of your learning will take place through everyday interactions with community workers. However, we do some classroom based learning of swahili, cultural orientation, translation/interpretation, and briefing on tanzania to foreigners and visitors. Language learning is essential to make more of their stay by being able to communicate and interact with people of tanzania. Visitors with tanzania tours and travel are required to do this intensive program and the cost is included in the program costs. Since we work with community workers and community based organizations all the program costs goes into the community.

The maasai are emblematic of africa for a reason, more so tanzania and kenya where they have now settled despite their long history of nomadic travels. The tribe can be distinguished by their colorful fashions of the ‘shuka’ (the robes worn across the shoulder often in red, purple, blue and orange) and the beaded jewellery that adorn both the men and women’s ears, wrists, ankles, crowns and necks.Their villages are still made from traditional materials of cow manure and wood and the fences woven as a protective perimeter to each village.
